Remember those shopping local campaigns throughout Portage la Prairie during the holiday season? Let's make it our 2021 resolution to continue to support our local businesses throughout the new year!

Today, I will highlight some local businesses that offer great products and great service right here in Portage. These are businesses I love and support so I can vouch for them.

Paws & Go Animal Supplies - 1850 Saskatchewan Ave. West

This is my FAVOURITE local pet store in Portage. I find that their products are high quality and don't cost too much which is perfect. Over the last few years, they have done so much to help our business and we want to continue supporting them, too.

Leashed Up

Leashed Up is a new company that has started up here in Portage. Taryn is the owner and is a client of Kenny's K9 and we love seeing the adorable leashes and collars that her dog wears when they come in! We do not carry any of their products just yet but we want to. Not only do they look fantastic but they also high quality and they offer free local pick-up. I love a local-made business girl! There are other businesses I like to support (Walk in the Bark, the pop-up dog boutique store that's on wheels in Winnipeg, as well as some Brandon shops, just to name a few...) but I really wanted to highlight a few Portage stores and what they provide. After all, us local business owners need to look out for each other!
